Who is Hooman?
Hooman is currently a freelance programmer residing in Toronto specializing in application and web development.
Hooman wrote his first Hello World program on a VIC-20 when he was just 8 years old. He would later create video games and applications on the Apple IIe, VAX and TRS-80 systems.
In the mid 90s he worked with a team on a game called Stone Bringer - a massive role playing game with hundreds of enemies and over 30,000 lines of code.
Hooman did all of the programming using Turbo Pascal and Assembly which included creating a graphics editor, a map editor, and inventing a script language so that designers could easily add functionality to game characters. He also wrote the main story line and drew some of the graphics.
After finishing high school Hooman decided to take a break from programming to pursue other ambitions such as completing university, becoming a journalist and playing in a rock band.
He recently decided it was time to get back into programming and is working as a freelance programmer, creating applications and games at home and at work. His latest creations include developing software for Dell, Air Miles and the Royal Ontario Museum.
